Won't wood be too hard?
Wood was the teether of choice before plastic, rubber, or silicone was invented! The teething ring is hard enough that it won't splinter or break but won't hurt your baby's teeth or gums.
How do I clean my wooden teether?
The cloth can be removed and washed on gentle cycle. Use a warm damp cloth to wipe and clean wood. Do not soak the wood or put in dishwasher as it may swell and warp.
What if it starts to feel rough?
The natural non-treated lotus wood will prevent splinters but can be sandpapered if feeling slightly rough. You can also condition the wooden teether with food grade oil such as olive oil or coconut oil.
Can I freeze my wooden teether?
The wooden teething ring should not be put in the freezer as it may swell, warp or crack.
